Canon BG-E11

Dont wait for local shops anymore, ebay has so many stocks with free ems shipping. around same price as singapore.

is the fees $400 and above?

remember if the price is $400 and above, you have to factor in 7% that will be charged at customs which will make the price not so attractive.

I purchased it locally at $390 from Alan Photo and I guess this is the shop that sells at this attractive pricing. One "ulu" auth dealer, Max Photo @ Orchard quoted me $420 cash which is still ok~

Hi Pal, not to worry I am using Black Rapid R7 with the loading of my mark III with grip, speedlite 580 II on and 70-200 IS II on and also did try to test with Sigma 50-500 on and still it swing well. Trust the brand Black Rapid not to worry.. Cheers..

for a 5k camera&grip + expensive lense and speedlight, i won't ever risk it. use additional strap attached to the camera and your rapid strap just in case the screw breaks or come loose.

Black rapid strap system is fine as long as you always check your ConnectR when in use. If you don't trust it, don't bother using it. Adding additional strap will only increase the risk of entanglement and dropping your precious gear.

Think using Black Rapid with original grip should be ok as we are talking about magnesium alloy grip. Don't think I will be buying 3rd party grip like pixel or chromage, which is made of plastic, too dangerous to take the risk of dropping my gears.

nope no entanglement, i'm actually using a rapid strap with additional strap :)

Haha I agree with chengpenguin, actually I had tried several time even yesterday with BG-E11 and Sigma 50-500mm/70-200L IS II on black rapid I see no issue with it.. With a well reputation brand and commonly use by lots of photographers, I see no point to add on extra weight and cautions. Just from my personal point of view.

Where to buy that extra strap?

Where to buy that extra strap?

I bought a Kata strap and cut it according to my preference. This extra strap is a good 'back up' strap in the event the main strap gives way.

I also have 2nd thoughts after i got it... LOL so i understand him

too heavy, with my 70-200 i feel like carrying a dumbbell..

take it as a challenge.. someday you should see how I walk the streets. the guys at TK Photo says I am going to fight a war :bsmilie:

You probably need a better strap.
