Canon 6D

Should be easy, nothing special. Canon doesn't offer any option in the firmware for the user to do it at home like e.g. Olympus?

Didnt see anything like that in the menu, the closest thing is the delete dust thingy only...No idea when would the next firmware come out as well, so i guess a trip to to the svc center would be more assuring

I used to own a Canon 50D that displayed a RED pixel after the sensor got hot after about 30 minutes of shooting. It was glaringly obvious in just about every photo I took (unless there was red in that area of the photo). It was easy enough to fix in post processing. I simply used the spot remover. That function is a God-send.

Haha, i was actually thinking of spot/clone remover, but considering how new the camera is, and the tons of pictures from holiday, a trip to svc ctr is inevitable:bsmilie:

You may be able to do it yourself. It doesn't work for all cameras and in all situations but it's worth trying on your own before sending it the the Service Centre. Watch the video:

okay, took about 20 shots after doing the manual sensor cleaning, only 1 shot showed the white pixel, so i guess that method works for mine atm....gonna do more test shots over next few days to double-confirm

Glad to help.

Just one more thing. You may have to do the sensor cleaning more than once. Be sure to do it for about 30 seconds. Review the video for add'l details. Good luck!

Until now, PS6/LR4.2 does not support 6D RAW, much less for PSE, so have to wait for Adobe to issue updates.

Actually, you will need to upgrade to Elements 11. Photoshop does not grandfather their previous versions with new RAW formats.

thanks for your reply...a little off topic, which photo editing software will you recommend other than Elements 11? price SGD $100-200, not a PRO level, just simple editing, colour touch up / contrast...etc
will like to have "colour crossing / retro colour / lomo colour look" function though....

Have been tried 6D + 24-70 & 50mm F1.2, So far the the focusing vert accurate but only with I shot with my 50mm 1.2, the focusing a bit slow with using big aperture (i.e. 1.2-1.6).
the most amazing thing is using my Iphone and Ipad to shoot photo. very interesting feature.
but don't know whether keep on the wireless will it be affected the batteri life.

was at click! shop today testing out the 6D. in the end become i teach the service staffs how to use the wifi function in the 6D to transfer pictures to my phone. took some test shots. very impressed by the noise performance!
