I agree. Even waiting after the first six months if one has the 'fortitude' would be best.

Yeap..
Let others handle them first.. they will soon come up with reviews you can read, plus reporting on:
- software defects, if any
- hardware defects, if any
- bad product design, if any
And then wait and see if the manufacturer can fix those.. if not (and if you cannot tolerate those defects), better wait for the next product iteration.

So from the time Canon announced 6D to the time we really hold it in our hands, would be half a year!
More like 10 months... Item available 3 to 4 months after announcement... Wait another 6 months.... :bsmilie:
direct conversion add GST minus kit lens seems body will be around 2.5k SGD
24-105 kit is $3403. Kit is typically ~ $1100 more expensive than body alone. I like these prices... Body for $2500 (incl GST) is slightly lower than Nikon D600.

Canon HK prices closer to Canon sg price? I tot SG is always more expensive. or tt applies to lenses only

Just now went sitex, happened to see MS Colour booth, so asked them about the 6D
Apparently, they are still waiting for Canon SG to release the stocks to them...so their estimation is roughly next week or early following week, they will get the batch
hope its really true!
