Dont dream too much guys.
6D image quality will not be better 5dmk3. Be it intentionally or what.
The interview with canon product manager at cameralabs.com has already mentioned that they will not let 6D jeopardize 5dm3.

Well, at least we now know with certainly that is not true for jpeg.

We'll see how the 6D RAW files turn out.

The internet is currently rife with rumors the 6D sensor will be the first Canon sensor employing the new 0.18 um wafer process. We'll soon know how true this is.

I'll tap that. Worthy back up body.
GPS is infinitely useful.

I'm more excited about Wifi than GPS. Not that I plan to use Wifi all the time, but it can be very handy when I need a remote and don't have one in hand.

I read that the next 0.18um sensor will be in next generation crop body llike 7Dmk2 first. Nvm just rumours.

if Canon SG didn't lie, it should be out this month.
Pricing and availability
The EOS 6D is available at authorised dealers from end November. Pricing will be advised at a later date.

My bad...still...sg Canon hasn't even released pricing yet here..it would be another month ....even the rest of the world got trolled...they have the pricing n all..just no product..

That came from Amazon UK. Anyway, US and UK always get their Canon products late...

I wouldn't touch the first batch not even if the price is good. I rather wait for a properly assembled unit.

Yea....it's like even the almighty 5dmk3 had light leak problems when it came out...think ill wait till first quarter of next year for the rumored 7dmk2.. n compare between the 7 6 n 5 models...
