I think that many would agree with your theory house3377. In addition to the 22mp camera, there were many rumours of a 46mp camera.

I believe that some are counting on it!

seriously, my hope is that the 22mp could match the image quality of the D800 after an upsize. this would be perfect. would rather PP on a 22mp file and upsize later than shoot at 36mp and PP on that 36mp file...

I'm getting a FF camera, just not sure which one yet... Canon vs Sony. Canon because I am partly invested there. Sony because their cameras are lightweight and cheaper.

S**t ! 3500 usd is about 4400 sgd at the current rate. Wow~ I hope cr is wrong abt the price, 3200 usd is more acceptable.

read from another forum someone claims that there was just a meeting held in Canada on the 5D3 and it was suggested to be $3800 Canadian (S$4700+?)with lens and that the fps are 7 and they AF is very near 1DX. It seems ex but spec looking good.

I think 3700 usd with lens is cheaper than 3500 usd body alone. I believe the kit lens for 5d3 is L , right? What u said suggested that the 5d3 body price maybe much cheaper than 3200usd, good news indeed.

That price is too good to be true. If so, either the 61pt AF and ISO will be crippled.

Agreed - they still have to make the jump from the 5DIII/x to the 1Dx desirable.

Haizz..... Ok then. Should I pre-order 5d3, or wait one month after it's released to the market? If I pre-order, means I am buying the cam at its RRP, right? And RRP is always higher than the actually price the shops here is selling, right?

What do u guys suggest? Pre-order or wait one months after release? Which is cheaper? And it is also possible that many ppl queue up for the 5d3 and price is pushed even higher, right?

It was mentioned "near" not same AF as 1Dx. So if it is 80% it can be consider near.
