Hmm.. can viewing the viewfinder on the 450D with spectacles on be tiring? Havent actually used an SLR for a prolonged period, perhaps someone cares to explain?

It can be if the person is short-sighted and needs to stare at small distant objects for extended periods of time. I have no problems with looking through viewfinder for prolonged periods.

My eyes however get tired easily when I need to stare at the LCD screen during post-processing. :bsmilie:

Hi guys, i'm interested but wats the price of the camera with and without lens?

Thanks for the explaination doodah

1350 For body and kit lens
1150 For body+ 4gb sdhc + eos bag(if im not mistaken)

I just got my 450D body local set at a very good price. But the sad thing I haven't got any lens yet....

juz went to Jn 3:16 to get the 450D. but was a few mins late. They sold the last piece.
Was told stock coming in on Mon...;(

Yep i was there too :) Maybe u were the guy that i saw :P I ended up buying a Ixus80IS with my fren :)

Hi Everyone,

I am new to DSLR and just bought an EOS 450D as my first DSLR. :D Happy with it and having fun with it though I have a minor problem. Seems to me that when i shoot anything red, I do not get the correct tone. For example if u see the attached pictures, when i shoot the object in RAW + L, the red tone appears "pink-ish". This is so when i view the image in my pc and also when i use the lcd screen on my camera. When i shoot in RAW format only, the image is still "pink-ish" when viewed on the camera lcd but when i use DPP to view it, i get the correct tone.

Anyone of you guys could help enlighten me on this problem? I am very very new to photography and dslr so I hope to learn from all of you.

Thanks for your help. :)

Your white balance is off, i assume that is a white table having a blue tinge. You can either try the fluorescent or tungsten WB or better set set yr custom WB.

The Jpeg picture styles merely "enhances" the image. Thus the already wrong colour is enhanced.

Checked with Allan Foto that the stocks are coming in on Thursday this week.

Best Denki has a good offer which you guys can consider. $1399 for kit lens with 2x4GB and tripod, and other accessories like cleaning kit, lcd protector.

hmm... is it possible to get S$1200 for the basic kit?

for someone getting his 1st DSLR, is it a good buy for getting bargaincity's EOS 450D $1499 Kit? which contains the following:

- FREE Lexar 4 Gb SDHC card
- FREE Extra 4 Gb SDHC Card (from Canon)
- FREE Extra 2800 mAh Compatible Battery
- FREE Canon EOS case
- FREE Digicabi DB036L 30L Digital Dry Cabinet
- FREE SDHC Card Reader
- FREE LCD Protector

And since i've got a cardreader, do you think it's worth to trade-in the SDHC card reader for another compatible battery for a topup of $20?

Let me try to break it down:
- FREE Lexar 4 Gb SDHC card (~$40-50)
- FREE Extra 4 Gb SDHC Card (from Canon) (given free anyway with any kit)
- FREE Extra 2800 mAh Compatible Battery (~$30)
- FREE Canon EOS case (~$15-25)
- FREE Digicabi DB036L 30L Digital Dry Cabinet (~$100)
- FREE SDHC Card Reader (~should be inclusive of Lexar 4GB)
- FREE LCD Protector (~$10)
Extra items value = $195-215

I may be wrong with some figures but you are basically getting the kit at $1,300 with the above. Not a bad deal I think.

Items here are mostly, if not all, not local sets. They usually have shop warranty, not warranty from Canon.

for body i tink thats the case
but for lens isnt it international warranty?
I nv probe further
cos i return to where i bought my first camera from

You can check with them, but I believe the same holds true for lenses too...shop warranty only. Cos they are either grey sets or refurbished (2nd hand) sets.
