If that is the case, it must have been that the place was too noisy even at 2-plus this afternoon when there were less people cos' I thought the sound was rather pleasant.

The best is to have both 20D and 30D side by side then snap away to confirm.

Tried it yesterday at the IT show. Sounds the same as 20D but a bit lighter.

use the kit lens first. u won't know what lens you will need til u start shooting and kit lens is a good way to start.

The answer is NO.
Save your money and just buy the body. The kit lens actually make very good paper weight.

i take it that i just buy the BODY alone? hmm so i should go for maybe sigma 17-55??
or any recommendation? I prefer wide and fast lens though ..

If i were u and also if you have the extra cash, buy the 30D body only then fork out another slightly over $1k to buy the EF-S 10-22 USM. That is, if you want super wide.
