Canon 18-200mm F3.5-5.6 IS

Hi anson, like to know your comments between efs 18-200 and efs 15-85 before for JPEG IQ ?

Damp... now i can see the IQ difference between non-L and L lens ...
but no choice going to downgrade to crop soon so i will go for efs lens.

I can't comment the differences between the two lenses as I do not have the 15-85IS lens myself. If any kind soul out there would like to sponsor me one permanently I would gladly do a review on it. Anyone? ;)

At the base of the camera (near the tripod mount), if can't find ask the sales person to show you. :)

Thanks for the reply. Finally got my first DSLR - 60D with 18-200mm. ;) My "proper" camera after my Canon G2 died so many years ago.

Cool...another user...you can also consider getting a good 2nd hand copy which may be better value for money.

Capturing a moment is not about what settings other people use but what YOU want to capture and express to viewers.

Really like this lens, sharing some shots w it.

Still learning  , critiques & comments greatly welcomed :)

Some pics I've done with my 60D and 18-200mm IS. All pics are my 1st time...

Fireworks

This is nice ! Perhaps cropping off abit of the right side would make it even nicer ? :)

Hi nice picture, can share what is your setting? I have 60 D and 18-200mm same as you.

Ya... maybe. If you realise, my 1st pic was the framing intended. After the 1st few burst... I realise the fireworks were out of frame. That's was the last min shifting and adjusting. I didn't do any PP except for shrinking the size and adding the border and marking.

you are asking about the firework setting or...?

for new birds like us, better to read up some "setting" for a typical situation, eg. fireworks, indoor birthday party, family outing at the beach etc... when you are presented with the situation, its up to you to decide which work best.

Maybe cdcks is referring to aperture, shutter speed and ISO settings. I assume bulb mode? :)
