i didn't have such a problem... but i find that the default setting of the camera... the auto WB is too warm/yellowish... i had to go to the custom menu in WB and set the "Keep Warm Color" to "Off" ... then after that all the photos don't appear too warm on my camera or computer.... they should have just turned off this option by default... :sweat:

Yes, I saw some review which mentioned this too but this "WARM" setting is only for all modes except AUTO right? My family likes to use AUTO mode but in that mode I can't turn off this WARM setting.

Another thing to note, when I use Av and turn off WARM setting, I find my pictures too COOL.....

yah, read some reviews that the lcd display is too "warm" compared to displaying it in a computer. i noticed it as well. what i did was i adjusted the color temperature of the screen, you can find it in the setting where you can adjust the brightness.

It's auto wb (white balance) setting rather than auto mode. If you find shots too cool, coz your wb is not set auto, you probably control it. So setting warm on/off doesn't make a difference, only when it's auto wb, it's in effect.

Hi, anyone using the EPL5 with Panasonic 12-35mm lens? The lens is too big for the bundle flash of the EPL5, casting a shadow on the lower edge when shooting at 12mm. Which external flash, small size preferred, is good for the above combination to work around the shadow issue?

yes like wong said... it's for auto WB not auto mode... even in auto mode u can set to manual WB... i think u have to play around to turn on custom menu to look for the warm setting of the auto WB...

Actually any flash where you can tilt so that you are using bounce flash is ok. Fl36r Fl600 nissin di466 etc...

If you don't want to get a big flash and are feeling adventurous, there is a great diy bounce flash solution on the dpreview forums.

Just to update: I realised in the LCD settings, there is Vivid or Natural option and so I changed to natural and everything looks ok from there. The default setting at Vivid was too warm...

I did a check against the pictures I took on the LCD vs my iMac screen, it was almost 90% identical already. Makes more sense now!

Hi guys, need some help.

How do you apply ART filter effects to the photos you have already taken and saved into memory card?

I only manage to turn them on but effects are meant for taking photos not for editing them into photos you already taken... is this even possible?

That's correct, though only on RAW file afaik.

So there is no way of adding the ART filters in the camera itself? I kinda get this misconception through the various adverts..... haha

if u took in RAW... it can be edited in the camera itself too... though not very user friendly...

i just tested out with one RAW... u need to click on menu->Raw Data Edit... then u choose custom... press right to customize what effects you want....

Quite easy to apply the effects and any other settings such as exposure, highlights, shadows etc after you shot a raw image.

When you preview photo, u press the center ok button and a menu will let u edit the raw data. After playing for few minutes, it become so easy to edit on camera.

To preview the changes, u must press the red video record button
