Just to check if the VF3 is worth buying from adorama, it seems that the rebate is in form of voucher or something.

do you mean cgw and hopandshop, i can from cgw transfer the package to hopandshop easily? or u mean i could have ask adorama send to 2 different places for different purchases? haha aiya, didnt plan that well. lol first time buy things from US, so i thought just signup 1 cgw account. didnt go and signup hopandshop. haha.
i actually check with one of the well known photography colourful shop at AMK, they reply me the e-quote is TLK for SGD$1219 w/GST. not sure about VF-3. but saw online roughly is SGD$200-300 i think. so if buy at local, probably can hit SGD$1.3 or SGD$1.4k loh. so my purchases from US save me like just a few hundreds bucks. ^_^

not to transfer from cgw to hopshopgo... i dunno if u can even do that... yeah i mean to send in diff shipment using 2 seperate orders... it can even all be sent to cgw... but in 2 diff shipment... u can then choose to consolidate in 1 delivery or to seperate into two...
but no matter wat... yeah it's still plenty of savings compared to buying locally...

hi, sorry for the epl5/olympus newbie question.
When using epl5 with the bundled flash unit, noticed there are various flash settings, e.g. slow sync, manual which allows manual input of flash power, etc.
When the manual flash option is used, the flash seems to be working in first curtain sync mode.
The other flash option, slow sync, doesn't allow manual control of flash power (the only way to control flash power would be to do it via flash exposure comp).
Wondering if I missed out any option to set manual flash power in slow-sync mode ?

Agree! Went with MCG2 and I can fit the panny 12-35 / 35-100 comfortably.

i think the voucher is have to mail in... and it's in the form of prepaid visa and eligible only for US residents...? so i'd say it's not worth since u can't redeem it anyway...

wah... looks really better deal....! although ultimately u may still pay more cos volumetric weight going to be more with so many stuff.... the bag will take up much volumetric weight... but still it looks like a great deal...!

Hi all, Newbie to Olympus E-PL5...
I notice the pictures taken are too warm/yellowish when it appears on my LCD but when I view in on my mac, everything looks fine.... this made me change WB and exposure settings throughout my trip and most of my pictures turn out too 'cool'

i didn't have such a problem... but i find that the default setting of the camera... the auto WB is too warm/yellowish... i had to go to the custom menu in WB and set the "Keep Warm Color" to "Off" ... then after that all the photos don't appear too warm on my camera or computer.... they should have just turned off this option by default... :sweat:

yah, read some reviews that the lcd display is too "warm" compared to displaying it in a computer. i noticed it as well. what i did was i adjusted the color temperature of the screen, you can find it in the setting where you can adjust the brightness.
Hmmm, time to upgrade my E-PL1, looks like a significant improvement with touchscreen AF too, 8FPS, and still weak AAF ... nothing beats Olympus body IS ...
Hope my VF2 will still work on it ...

Epl1 rocks
vf2 certainly works on epl5. One thing I miss going epl5 is the in built flash. Can be useful when you need it.

it'll certainly be a significant upgrade... i'm E-PL2 user upgrading to E-PL5 and find it a significant upgrade already... much better IQ... tilting screen... faster AF... better auto WB (but must turn off that warm color option!)...
