Yes on sale. Saw at fortress and tried this afternoon priced Hkd5890. With freebies like tripod, battery and sd card if I didn't hear wrong.

the site stated wrongly the 14-42mm as 14-22mm - i thought wtf new lens?

anyway, hk price shud be better than singapore price.

Next up, trying to register the camera under olympus SG site but just can't seem to find the selection for EPL5 under PENs bodies! Such a let down!

Digital fortress sells at rrp and it's tough to bargain. ..try chains like Broadway or suning which can give u a closer match against the street price. If u are familiar with mongkok make ur way to sim city building where many small retailers are housed. ..competitive pricing there.

Olympus comes with international warranty, as long as it's not "water goods" as Olympus Service Centre Singapore will ask you to produce the original receipt and official warranty card from the "home country".

1 photo buddy of mine planted a thought in my mind that wouldn't an EPL5+17 f1.8+35mm EVF works great as a street camera.

Somehow that image of these 3 items keep surfacing in my mind ... I think I've just got "poisoned".

Given that the 17 f1.8 is silver, I think the Silver is a better match? Oooo .... I need to stop talking about it (in my head).

35mm EVF? I think the 34mm OVF (the el cheapo one that came with the Oly 17mm f2.8) would do great! But yes, that is a thought!

EPL5 in streel grey, 17mm in streel grey, 34mm OVF in steel grey and what's more, you can play with leatherette skin which u can't quite do with the OMD!

If you ask me, I'd say forget about the RX1 or the M10, this is the deal! :lovegrin:
