Cambridge

Well I do check the weather before going out especially regarding things like fog. But otherwise, it's usually just a matter of making sure there is some sun shining when I go out. I think Cambridge has been pretty good in the weather department... there are occasional bouts of bad weather like it's been raining almost everyday for about two weeks now, but in general it's been rather bright and cheery here. I've heard that things are not as sunny in London.

thanks for the clarification! guess may have something to do with poorer air quality in London =p

You're welcome :) Yeah... does sound probable. But I've gotten reasonable results there too and I don't plan my trips based on weather, so either it's reasonably ok or luck's on my side :)

Nice pics! Makes me wanna go to cambridge. May I know if you use any digital or traditional techniques to create this picture with all elements nicely revealed? I would expect this sun flare to cause the building to look very dark or near black without any manipulation.

Thank you :)

For this photo, I did pull some of the shadows in the grass, and also moved the curves slightly. But as for the buildings, they weren't underexposed. I've found that if I let the flare blow parts of the sky out completely, then I can maintain a relatively good exposure balance quite naturally.

The library contains Isaac Newton's own copy of the first edition of Principia Mathematica, as well as the original manuscripts for Winnie the Pooh.

I must say I really enjoyed looking at your photos. I may not be able to travel there, but looking at your photos, my eyes have been opened and broadened my horizon. Great photos.
