Great Stuff! I enjoyed it. Thanks.

lovely series!!!
such a nice place, heard about it, thought about it when taking local exams (GCEs hee...), but haven't visited

can put a number so easier for people to refer??? =P especially like:
- self portrait in 'St. John's College' #3
- mood of #6 'St. John's College again'
- great timing for post #17's 'Sunset on Castle Mound'

and think it will be a great place to be at for the Olympics 2012!

Thanks everyone, and thoongeng, that's a brilliant idea. I will edit the previous posts to include numbers.

RH,

nicest series I've seen in a long while. Lovely lighting, and postprocessed tastefully. Thoroughly enjoyed this, keep 'em coming :)

Btw, what equipment were you using to shoot?

Thank you :)

The photos were shot mostly with either a Nikon D300 or a D5000, and there are a couple that were taken with the Canon S95. As for lenses - the large majority were shot with either the Sigma 10-20 or the Nikon 18-70. The Nikon 80-200 2.8 was also used occasionally, as was the Nikon 60 2.8 macro.

Hi ,

Keep the photos coming.

Especially like #07 Winter's day at the Backs . it has a very classic look as it the old movies.

Woah... I am using the Nikon D5000 with Sigma 10-20 as well. But never seem to have as nice pictures as yours.
Congratulations to this excellent set of pictures.

Great pictures all.....the lightings are to die for :)

Went for a short walk with a friend at the West Cambridge Site, mostly to try out the plastic 55-200. Didn't turn out too bad I think...

32: At Trinity Hall's Wychfield Site. It started snowing at around midnight, and there was a lot of it, so I headed out to the sports fields.

still camping here ;)

nice mix of moods and seasons!
risking your gear and sacrificing sleep in #32!

just a question do you research the weather etc before you go out to shoot in Cambridge? Or just go out as you like? If the latter just a rough guide how often do you get the nice weather/light as shown in your photos if going out at random?
wondering cos heard before that the weather in England is usually 'gloomy' =p

Well I do check the weather before going out especially regarding things like fog. But otherwise, it's usually just a matter of making sure there is some sun shining when I go out. I think Cambridge has been pretty good in the weather department... there are occasional bouts of bad weather like it's been raining almost everyday for about two weeks now, but in general it's been rather bright and cheery here. I've heard that things are not as sunny in London.
