When you compare this to the Rubbish ST-E2 that canon recommends for it’s flashes, this is dirt cheap.

U can try yongnuo rf-602, cheaper. I think it is the cheapest trigger that is reliable. And this trigger was tested by so many users.
 

It's already a very reasonable price considering the specs, features and (current) performance. Don't think can go much wrong.

Was looking at Radio Poppers too - those cost quite a bit and sort of difficult to acquire.
 

Can I ask the OP a favor? Can U put other trigger system (v4, rf 602, etc) and test if it will work. Because, I currently have other trigger system, if I can combine them together then it will be great. And test if the sync speed is reduce on the second system. Thanks

Yes. I put the aster transmitter on top of the the Cactus TX, and it could trigger one flash mounted on another cactus, simultaneously with one mounted on an aster.

Preliminary testing shows.

1/250 (7D max Sync), there’s banding on the Aster trigger side, but NOT on the Cactus side of the frame. This is consistent with my previous experience with the Aster not being able to sync above 1/200
1/200 - all banding is gone. Shot 6 frames all not present.
1/160 - no banding. Stopped testing there.

This is quite remarkable. I would have thought given the cactus as an intermediate tx would slow the Aster’s already slow performance, but no, the cactus seems to take very little delay time to get it through. :)

Cactus and poppers different thang bro...

Poppers can do a CLS..an extended CLS too. but haiyah....dun wanna talk abt it la..

hmm are u using some sort of GND or are the gradients done in post?
