Buying in HK?

I got my Gitzo from Tin Cheung last Aug.

i was looking for CF Gitzo when i was in singapore last July and found the price at least 10% more expensive compared to Tin Cheung. or maybe i don't know where to ask in singapore thus the higher price :)

is this with international warranty? sigma singapore recognised?

According to TinCheong, yes it is. However I didn't check with Sigma SG if they recognised. Frankly if I need to, I would have gotten the "hong" goods from DC Fever if TC was higher in price coz it's pretty hard to find the 2 lens in stock in SG (well last i checked about a month ago)

It's just me since i sometimes am around the region (shenzhen) and worse comes to worst I have a friend in HK which I can get to help to get it for service if need to (touch wood)

A friend helped me check D40 kit is 4280 in HK now

Does anyone have a particular shop to get a 400D Canon body in HK?
Heard its < 960S$

Tin Cheung website prices are not updated. better call them to get the updateed price :)

how is that possible? on the website, i view the price, i click "buy now". add shipping cost and its done. i'll get the lens within a week. how can a shop not update its prices if it its selling products online? :dunno:

i also don't know ;) whenever i check their website the prices hardly changes but when i call price usually changes and usually lower than the website price :) and i pick up the items when i go there or ask someone to get them for me. and i always ask from 1 person only :)

when i bought my gitzo tripod and ballhead, i was able to save more than 150HKD compared to the website price.

You can also check it out at SIM City at Mongkok. Nikkor 70-200 f2.8 cost SG$2.1k and 50mm f1.4 is only less than $380 only after conversion

sorry i don't live in hk. i am from the philippines and it is quite easy for us to go to hk. less than 2hrs flight. my friends, relatives and me go to hk at least once a year. when i hear that a friend or relative is going to hk, i will call tin cheung and reserve the item then just ask my friend or relative to pick up the items for me :)

hmm.. ok, i'll make sure i call before i go down to their store. thanks!

Hey Guys. need help urgently
Found a D80 for 1400 (I know thats an ok price) bundled with a 18-200VR for 1200, plus a MB 80 for 180

Should I take it??

Please reply quickiw can....

I think the price of the 18-200VR is pretty good. I won't get the D80 tho unless you're staying in or frequently visiting HK; no international warranty for bodies. No idea about the warranty for the MB 80

BTW for 1.4k do yo think i can get a price like that in SG?
Any freebies I should ask for?
Thanks
P

hi bro....
may i know how much is the shipping cost to spore??
thanks...
;)

Just did a walkabout in Mongkok
Most prices here are pretty close to SG ones, esp if you are after warranty sets. Not a vast difference, perhaps I am missing the good deals :)

i don't know. why don't you try going to their website and try buy one. i'm sure they'll list the shipping charges after you check out.
