Buildings & Scenes in Singapore

I noticed habitually you will post the same scene, one in portriat style and later on in landscape style. Just wonder does it add value to the photo or trying to yield posting count. I appreciate your photos but you as the photographer, has to make up your mind which cropping is better for that particular scene. Of course at times its a catch 22 situation and can ask for opinion. I believed showing less is more, if you get what I mean. Just my opinion.

To commoner5 :
Thank you so much for your message and your opinion. I really appreciate that and try to understand that from your view. It is an interesting aspect and input from you ;p
If i may explain abit about portrait style and landscape style for the same scene (pardon me if there is something not so ideal or what I write down is to subjective base on what I think), I see both portrait style and landscape style is as one complete set which one and other can stand together and completing each other (with their own plus minus). For portrait style, it will show more upper part (sky) and lower part (ground) of the scene. For landscape style, it will show more left and right side of the scene (the continuity of the horizon elements, like water surface, trees, etc). I have some experiences for the advantage of taking both portrait and landscape style of the scene. I got one order to provide 2 themes of photo, which each theme need to provide both as portrait style and landscape style in jpeg format. The photos were printed for calendars, the vertical / portrait ones were used for wall / hanging calendar (with vertical layout) and the horizontal / landscape ones were used for table calendar (with horizon layout). Sometimes I think it will be useful and will give more opportunity of usage if I take the same scene both for portrait and landscape. It also helps my learning journey in doing photography how to capture landscape style and portrait style of the scene, especially when I shot directly to the sun (how to handle the flare of the sun, etc) and also it really helps (as a background experience) to decide which frame style I should use (portrait or landscape style) if I want to shot immediately in short (limited) time and only have once chance to shot (say like street photography, capture the moment, etc).
What I mention above only my subjective opinion, of course all of you can have your own opinion. Photography is apart of art, it really has a very wide and various variety + opportunity + freedom about taking the photos and also giving appreciation of the photos ;p
