Strange you are saying all these when SMRT dont even dare give excuses such as these but apologise immediately for all their shortcomings. And strange too your advice 7) when you rant & rave on another SMRT issue here
http://www.clubsnap.com/forums/kopitiam/954041-mrt-train-vandalised-2.html when it doesnt even affect you (& others), unlike now when thousands of people are directly & adversely affected. If the SMRT cannot handle such a situation efficiently & effectively, I dread even to think of the day when a real crisis happen, like bombs going off in our trains (which is one scenario envisioned). Its better SMRT seriously think through all the planning & thinking again about crisis management now. The only fortunate thing is no one is seriously injured in this incident. To me a breakdown is only a matter of time cos the NSL is >23 years old & is under heavy stress with the sudden & steep population, ridership increase. Ever wonder how many buses are required to ferry one trainload of passengers??? & we have like a train every few minutes, both ways. Food for thought.
