Cute looking boy...;)

Thanks :)

Lovely bokeh from the Takumars, Pinholecam !

Thanks Shizuma, takumar are nice lenses in build, price and o/p.
Works well too on many cameras since they are M42 mount.

Waiting to see his takumar 50/1.2 and 135/2.5 shots. He is one Pentax fanboy
Ha.. ha,
I will protest on the fanboy part since I do use the lenses on 5D and A7 and got other lenses too. :D

To me, the Pentax lenses are nice though, generally smaller than their counterparts, good optically and very well built.
Takumars certainly represent some of the best of Japanese lens making for SLRs for their time period when the Japanese were starting off in making cameras, against the very well established Europeans.

I'm also Pentax fan cat. I wonder if anyone here is shooting the legendary super tak 50/1.4 8-element lens

Its a sharp lens. Not bad Bokeh.

actually I feel the bokeh transition very harsh. I should have stopped down more

Hi Shizuma.

A little perhaps. Look carefully at the orbs & the transition, you may see some rings within rings.

Bokeh is a very subjective matter, I don't delve in it much, I just enjoy looking at all the nice different bokeh shots from so many types of lenses from all the contributors.

You can evaluate the bokeh by taking a series of shots of the same subject at different apertures and selecting the one which is better.

Still a nice kitty shot btw. ;)

I agree wif u bro. Its subjective. Just b happy wif d lens u haf producing tat Bokeh. It's not necessary to always shoot at max aperture. Cheers.
