The wife and the in-laws are coming to terms with the loss.
Grateful we have video, and an experienced videoman to come with it..

Will update in due time... while patience is running extemely thin...

I felt that you hv given him sufficient time to get his life sorted out already... like all others who r interested in this thread... i believe its time for you to reveal who he is.

Not really lah. It serves as a warning that there are a LOT of other factors when choosing a wedding photographer, besides the ability to take nice pics. And similarly for wedding photographer wannabes, it takes more than just talent and a nice camera to become like one of the pros.

Lessons learnt for all.

Sorry to hear about your msfortune. Hope everything is OK now aka photos recovered!!!



Have been shooting wedding photos for friends (so far 4 weddings already), 2 of them being from the moring till night. Imagine the stress I had even though they have backup photographers (3 weddings using film SLR). The thing is lost monents and memories can never be recovered. Luckily all these times nothing happens. The joy of them seeing the photos are really fulfilling, making each of your sleepless nights (before the films were developed) worth it (as I do it for free as a gift for friends).

Nowadays I have shifted to dSLR. I always keep multiple copies. 2 copies in DVDs, 1 copy in laptop hdd and one copy in extrnal hdd. I will only delete the files from CF cards AFTER all the backups.

for me, i very singaporean.:bsmilie:
after shooting, i backup to my portable harddisc and then my harddisc in my computer. My computer harddisc is then mirrored 2 harddiscs. only after confirmation that all images can be viewed i delete the info from my CF card.
although some may think i am overboard, i personally do not want to take chances to someone's once in a lifetime event.

Hope the images are recovered eventually......

He approached the wife and I on his own personal capacity, but like I mentioned earlier, he is not an amateur. He is one third of the photographer in this company

Till date, we have yet to hear from him. IF any of you guys know him, please do let him know that he should be responsible in coming forward and at least let us try to rectify the problem..

If you can see how this thread was first created, it was never about defaming or criticising his work, it was more about seeking a solution. But now that it seems that he is dissapearing, I think its just appropriate that his identity be known...

Hope everything turns out good for you. Ask him for full compensation and if necessary, take legal action against such individual who spoils the image of real professional.
