I think TS should proceed to Small Claims Tribunal and make a case, not just for money's sake, but as a matter of principle.
Who in business don't suffer ups and downs? During the last economic recession in 97, I owed my printer $20K+ but I never ran away from them. I took all their calls, replied all their letters etc. Eventually, little by little, I paid them off. Economic downturn is no excuse for delivering shoddy services.

not just that. i'm reading wad mr hong has kindly stated: 10 pairs of shoes.
yet somehow he managed to sign a contract thingy saying 43 shoes? i'm amused at his eyesight. PE, perhaps u shldnt had let him off. if u had nailed him down the first time, perhaps the second guy wont kenna it already:think:
and my advice to the second guy, bring it up to courts for settlement. as far as i can tell from his comments, he does not deny the fact that
1: he accepted the job, promised to shoot 43 pairs of shoes.
2: He does not deny the fact the photos were badly done and that he attributes it to *u may wish to ignore wads in the brackets cause its not impt* (bad business and in debt)
and 3: he received payment.
meaning he is responsible for delivering goods that are of quality, and since from the uploaded photos, it doesnt seem to be tally with the price paid, u shld be able to get some money back

i'll wish to ask mr hong, is there any written statement of sorts for this matter? because while u may claim that its 10 shoes, plus a pair for the model, u have not substantiated ur claims with evidence, unlike TS, who uploaded a copy of the contract stating u have accepted the job offer for shooting 43 shoes. and upon looking, i see the fees as only $1500 without shoes

as in this context bah. just wanna see something done. i totally dislike people who con and scam. past experience from my parents, who run a construction company. got conned/scammed/bad loan to another company. very big sum somemore. end up never recovered the amt, and it was quite tough in my younger years. life wasnt easy. yet now we are a decent middle class family doing pretty well. which is good:thumbsup:
but due to that fact, i have a strong dislike for expert conmen.

suggest you change yourself, change your attitude to life, the world is not your oyster and you can't always abuse people's kindness.
one day you might offend the wrong person, who has the energy and time to grind it out with you, and then $80k debt will be the least of your troubles. and that's still mild compared to what some violent and angry people might do.
i suspect that this advice will fall on deaf ears though.

but was hoping that he will come in and talk and expose himself more, just like he exposed himself in his 2nd or 3rd post
不是不报，只是时辰未到。。。Come to think of it, he is quite stupid to use his residential address for running a shady business. People can easily find their way to where he lives. What's worse is that he not being responsible to his family because what he is doing outside actually puts his innocent family members at risk. Not everyone will take the official route of going to small claims tribunals...

I am in the opinion that the amount involved is usually small, ranging from a few hundres (Uncle PE's case) to maybe 1 to 2K (TS' case). Going to court or go going to his home will be a hassel as the amount is not big. And people will just write it off as bad debt or bad luck ... so he got off scot free .. smart a*&
