no russians around?

ha ha man, you guys are certainly a tough audience to please..... :)

No did not spot any russians around ..... in fact during the entire week the only tourists we saw was a couple of handfuls of South Koreana making the pilgrimage up to the peak and paying homage at Changbaishan ..... Korean folklore has it that the Korean tribe/people originated from this mountain

And maybe a group or 2 from Guanzhou

Will be posting a few more straggling images later this evening

nice pic of the great wall.. do you have any pictures of changbaishan?

came back from changchun about 2 weeks ago. changbaishan was sealed due to heavy snow, therefore cancelled by changbaishan trip instead & went to beijing & tianjin.

no la, one of my unmaterialised plans for manchuria is to cover the border with russia, but that said, it is heilongjiang at manzhouli where you can see russians becos of the trading. it is also a cheaper and nearer way to see "siberia".... but then i realise your area is jilin so i wonder if you have any luck to see russians there.

but i have to say your coverage of yanbian is very good. it is esp so from a documentary perspective. beijing seems more like a transit...

actually changbaishan is more correctedly call baitoushan or paekdusan. also its history is more interesting but i dunno if the scenary is going to be that enticing. you didn't cover that rite?
