but you need to develop your own view and composition after that..
 

Next time i must bring table, chair and cabinet to set up temporary rental store, so that people like canontom can 'rent' (means no more free usage for canontom!!)

I mean its definitely easier for the guide to bring along 3-4 people rather than 10 as what i can see on that day is that most of them are OTOT (own time own target) walk around and snapping 'blindly' - and i mean for the newbies and not those who seems to me are more than beginners (i'm judging them by their equipments, correct me if i'm wrong)

And it is confirmed better if the guide can review the photos from the newbies straight away and probably guide us into what setting is better when snapping this scenery/object etc and there perhaps can 'poison' us into seeing which lens is better for this kind of outing.

Just my 2cents worth of thoughts, can take into consideration for the future outings

P.S. I know the outing is 100% voluntary work for the organizer and i totally appreciate it :thumbsup: because it felt better walking in a group and snapping pictures rather than walking alone like a silly goose.

I think SK has already answered your feedback.But anyway to have smaller groups some might lost their way and call me after that asking 'Where are u guys ar?' so we're currently sticking to 1:10...

i almost bought both the 35mm and 85mm but now i decided to go for just the 85mm 1.8 after borrowing from my shifu for weeks.. bokeh is awesome. focusing is fast and overall its light ! going to get a 17-50 2.8 to pair up with this prime.

I'm actually glad that there are people who listen to us.

And of coz, I'm not asking the guides to review every photos - that will takes ages.

perhaps just sit in a same group (smaller the better) and review the group members photos during lunch time?

well, my idea of 3-4 per guide is partly to allow the guide for ease of controlling the group as well as for the 3-4 newbies to stay together without getting lost unlike the 10:1 where you see the guide walking away and the group just keep splitting into smaller and lesser numbers.

cleonbus, i doubt people will go missing if its a smaller group. heh heh.

This is nice.

Creative use of reflection.The red bag and red t-shirt give good contrast to the overall drab grey of the whole picture. This is what I call a "thinking picture", where the photographer has spend some effort thinking about what he taking rather than simply snapping away.

In my opinion, the only picture that stands out amongst all the rest posted in this thread. :thumbsup:

Thanks lightbrush for the kind comments. It was just purely coincidental that the red are in the picture so i must say its a lucky shot.

#01 - That is nice view but if the sky has some blue it would be better.. No doubt about the weather.. its horrible..

#02 would be good if you could add something else more interesting to it. The sky is not very pleasant on that day so best is not to use the sky to add interest. Anyway.. take note that your building is slanted. I'm not sure if you did it on purpose.. ^^

#04 - Would be good if you could show the whole length where the lamp is hanging on to

hmm.. personally, I would take the pigeon 45 degrees where it leads down the stairs..
