Exposure: 0.004 sec (1/250)

EDIT: If the primary objective is for portrait and small budget, get the Sony 85mm F2.8 better. IMO.

we should totally have a beercan thread :D

Seriously, to get a nice blur BG, "the distance bewteen the subject and the bg must be far apart enough". even a simple 75-300 at f5.6 is able to get a certain nice bokeh if used correctly.

As for the beer can, at f4, it's able to produce sharp pictures. i used to own 1 before i sold it off.. Alot of times, we complain the lenses we have are not sharp, 80% is where we focus lock and how badly we have recomposed the picture.

And yes, i agree that if shooting in the day. When having a shutter speed reading at 125sec, the picture is still soft, the lens might have some problem matching the camera body.

Ssssh, bro, remember, you don't know bokeh, or the beercan, or the rule of handholding. :bsmilie:

We used to actually. Then the mods closed and deleted it, saying it should be in the galleries section. Of course, if you look in the other brand forums they have lens-specific threads all the time, with mods actively posting and sharing. Here, no such luck.

IIRC, its ok if we can include the exif for "technical" discussion

the most fatal BBB virus is test snapping with the beercan itself haha..

almost bought a beercan if not for the 10 cents scratch patch front element.. ( which suprisingly dont affect IQ )

yes. i did.. and it's amazing. HAHA.

yea. i think there should be a thread on beercan images.

after reading this thread kinda encourage me to use my Minolta AF 7000 SLR and some of my Minolta lenses such as beercan =) let see how it goes :)

yeah I do agree we should have some sort of sticky thread like in 4/3 section where we post our small review and sample photos using different lenses....

i don't know the lens, i also don't know what bokeh is... and most importantly, i definitely don't understand the rule of handholding. :bsmilie:

A few photo all shoot by beercan in my folio @ http://www.terrychua.com/ivy

beercan exclusively refers to the Minolta AF 70-210 F4 lens? i got a feeling it's very expensive.. haha. i don't know lens prices actually..
