Detailed Description:
Classic Nikkor large aperture telephoto zoom lens and considered one of their all-time best.
Top used condition – near MINT/collector’s condition! No marks or scratches on the lens barrel and the huge glass elements are exceptionally clear with no sign of fungus whatsoever.
Lens has always been kept in a dry cabinet, it was originally purchased in Japan.
The lens produces outstandingly smooth and beautiful bokeh – perfect for portrait photography (at a fraction of the price of a 70 – 200 f/2.8).
It’s also very sharp wide open throughout the zoom range.
The Silent Wave Motor (SWM) provides noise-less AF and works without any problem or noises on this lens.
The lens is internally focusing (IF) and does not extend while zooming or focusing.
The lens features a tripod collar and a very deep hood (HB-17).
Note that there are many different models of this lens: this is the very last Nikkor 80 – 200 f/2.8, before Nikon changed over to a 70 – 200 design.
