Beep Beep. cheap color film alert.

cool! look forward to your photos!

My first self processed C-41 roll :)

Kodak Gen-2 non perforated, it turned out expired since oct 2009, not july 2010 as advertised :(

Some info: the film counter on bulk loader doesn't work since it relies on perforation to count

And I think I bulk loaded more than 36, hence for few last frames it's overlapping, my guess the take up spool is full already

Just ordered my portra gen-2 and Tetenal C-41 press kit. Can't wait to try developing my own c-41. :)

Hi, I am currently researching on C-41 film developing, only stumbling block is maitaining the temp at 38degC, care to share your method on this?

you can use water jacket to maintain temperature.

anyway I didn't use any water jacket, but result come out quite ok.

So least to say in C-41 development the temp is not critical here where the water average around 24-27degC? Your result is outstanding, may want to give it a go.

The result looks pretty good. If its is confirmed that we can develop C41 using room temp will be the awesomest! :D

Here's the instruction for C-41:
jobo

If u notice, the development time is 2 mins, and bleach-fix 4 min 30s. I'm not sure if water jacket helps since 2 mins is quite short. But u still need to develop at 40-45 deg C.

i used the tetenal C41 kit before too . The Tetenal C41 kit develops at 38C. There is a preheating stage which is important as it warm up yr tank so that during the developer stage , the heat loss is not so fast. In this case you won't need be too concern about maintaining it at 38C.

The good thing is that if you can do C41 then you can do E6. You can refer to this thread on how I make use of metal containers to heat up the chemicals faster : http://www.clubsnap.com/forums/medium-format/1000662-lf-e6-processing-process.html
