Ha ha ha ha! I wish I have the money to get one man... Still a damn long way to go! Only upgraded to a Nikon D90 recently. And yes, he's the best model of the entire Boot Camp!

wah lao, y your pic all make me nose-bleed... opps.
very nice composition...

This is such a classic beauty but I really like #17 which brings out her character as I find very few gals could really express well.

I'm still trying to figure out what kind of dress is the 2nd outfit but it seems to gel well with her style/hair & works well in the stairwell.

Masterclass, man. Love them

nice series bro...
Hope to see more... :)

Thank you all for your comments. :) You may not like the next series too much cos there will be lots of out of focus shots... My lens decided to go on strike during that time. Got so pissed off with the images. :(

Beautiful model & great photographer = 20/20..
Tks for sharing again bro.pity i don't have much time to follow & learn from your shoot.

Thanks. Hope to do something together next time. There will be a time and that time may be soon cos I am coming back home soon. So no more beautiful girls... :(

Hi very nice pics! :thumbsup::thumbsup::thumbsup:

nice series...hope to see more of them..:) noticed you have changed to D90 recently.

hi, great shots as usual, i prefer using the AFD 50 1.4 as it will not fail definitely and having on the spot focused since its motor driven. In my opinion, i do not need the AFS motor in a 50mm as this lens is not used to capture really really fast objects. The 50 AFD is still very fast though.

nice set as again... thanks for sharing.. im interested how you setup your lights..

Yeah. Finally decided to change after a few usages from a borrowed D90 from my friend. Although not much improvement, the noise control, which is very important to me, is much better than the D80.

As I use it along, I notice that the Nikon D90 center focusing point has a little issue. It cannot focus properly under low light condition or strong backlit condition even with the AF assist illumination on. But when under normal lighting conditions, it focuses very well. Not sure if other D90 users face this issue or just me?

If there is a chance, I'll mount a speedlight onto the D90 and uses the speedlight's illuminated red focusing light and see if the center focusing point has the same issue or not under low light conditions or strong backlit conditions.

I did not try the AF-D Nikkor 50mm f/1.4D on any of my camera. With my AF-S version, it has front focusing issue. Well, for users of D300 and above, this can be adjusted using AF Fine Tune. For D90 and below, we don't have this feature.

I've shot some shots that I love but the image turned out blurred. So sad.

The lights were done with 2 flashes. One of them has a shoot-through umbrella mounted together on a light stand positioned in front of the model. The flash with the umbrella acted as a fill light when shot with the subject near a window. It was a very bright morning. Light from outside was overpowering. So the flash with umbrella was used as a secondary/fill light.

On the staircase, flash with umbrella used as the main light while another bare flash was placed behind the subject. All flashes were triggered by my Nikon D90 pop-up flash under Nikon's Creative Lighting System Commander mode. Flash value manually adjusted. iTTL worked great if we want a purely balanced image but if ratios would be introduced, manual adjustment was still necessary.

Main light flash power was between 1/32 ~ 1/16. Backlight flash power was between 1/8 ~ 1/4.

that is the problem with AFS lens cause they have a brain of their own. better to use a AFD version. Fail safe. Plus, a AFS lens motor will fail, anytime.

Hmm... You made me think a little bit now... :p
