My lighting setup:

  • Nikon Creative Lighting System
  • 1 x SB-800 mounted on-camera act as wireless commander and as fill light
  • 1 x SB-600 with umbrella mounted
  • 1 x SB-600 with no diffusion
  • 2 x light stands to mount the flashes

What you did was firing your flash directly at the face of your subject. It is like shining your torchlight onto a piece of design paper at right angles. What you see is only the design pattern but not the dimensional texture of the design. Move your lights to the side and experiment. :)

This you call impromptu ?

I need a bigger bag liao....

pardon my ignorance what is CLS?

In this thread, CLS = Creative Lighting System.

This system is developed by Nikon in deploying multiple flashes in your photography via wireless communication between flash units. With this technology, it takes photo light creativity to the unventured levels, depending on the creativity of the photographer.

I just completed some other event for a customer mah. Ploy called and asked if I was free to dinner so okay lor. Met up with Ploy and had dinner lor. Ploy had this intention for quite some time liao lah, just that I had my stuff with me then so we just took some simple shots to play with lah. :)

Aiyah, nothing to envy lah... What is there to envy? :)

I don't have dinners with models. I don't have models calling me for dinners. What the fish, I don't even have normal girls call me period... I have everything to be envy.... sigh

That's what I tot... "Oh... I just have 3 flashes, 2 light stands and umbrellas in my car.... it's simple."

Pro shooters got different meaning to simple...

Love the works... looking forward to the rest of the series.

Nothing liao...

You certainly prove your communication skill and taste... Pretty gal there...

Sometime I found it is unfair here... very hard to get presentable gals locally... not to mention to get the feels... Maybe need to travel to Thailand...

How long do I need to learn Thai speaking?

Beautiful pics and a lovely model. Thanks for sharing. :)

It depends on how much effort you put in to try communicate with people. The fastest way is to keep talking with the Thais and understand their way of life and how they see things. Be like a Thai. Act like a Thai. Do like a Thai. And you will find yourself communicating with them as if you are one of them. That's where the chemistry come. :)

I spent 3 years trying to be one and I am still trying to be.
