[ BBBBug ] Olympus 45mm /f1.8

Just bit the bullet and got one.

Very satisfied that my m4/3 kit is complete.
A must have for any m4/3 user.

Immediately tried out the lens where I could before the day grew dark.

Just bought one too, from holland V Parisilk, they are selling at $420 now .

Just got mine from Alan photo. 420 cash as well.

And I must say, very snappy on GF1. Agree that it is a must have

with a bit of bargaining, this lens can be MYR1,000 in KL...

Tats about $410 in singapore based on xe.com.

You have to decide the extra 10-20 dollars saved is worth going to malaysia to get it.

I prefer hassle free transactions. One of the rare times that sellers are being reasonable in their pricing, it is best to encourage such behavior :)

Now a happy user of 45mm f1.8. Bought yesterday at AP SLS. $420 for the lens and $45 for the silver color b+w uv filter.

I got my lense at MS Color (AMK) at $450. Looks like i got ripped off!

Is the B+W filter recommended? Or any brand one is okay? I got a cheap one for $15 also. Will it cause any quality difference?

Yes. It affects light transmission n white balance. The best is no filter.

Got myself a 45mm after reading this poisonous thread. When to try out at entrance of JBP.

Hope it is sharp. At F1.8, 1/400, ISO 160.

The backgrounds are nice and smooth. Can you do a 100% crop on your sharpest bird image? Curious how defined the feathers are
