[ BBBBug ] Olympus 45mm /f1.8

Aiya!
MSC is always just that $10-20 off the cheaper prices.
I would have bought much more from them over the years if they could follow the cheaper price since they are nearer.

Hahaha at least they confirm have many stocks & one of the Olympus authorized dealers.

SLRR on the other hand only bring in 1 or 2 & always no stock though the cheapest.

Cathay dropped their price to $422 cash. :dunno:

Anyway, I still prefer my Pentax 25mm lens, cheap & good. hahaha

Lol precisely, they are different focal lengths not even close. $422's good price

25mm cheap? That's a richman talking :p

I think he is referring to the c mount Pentax lens which is cheaper than the Panasonic 25mm lens..

Just got mine from a fellow clubsnapper. I knew the lens was good but wow, never fails to amaze me.

I did? Oops..hahahaha aiyah, brand new one not that expensive also lah..hahahaha

Guys, anyone used the lense on the E-P1? Does it work as well as on the P3?

I have the f1.7/20mm lense..will u all still recommend me get this lense?

Thanks in advance!

It works with ep1 for sure, just a fair bit slower than ep3.
To buy or not, really depends on whether u like to work with 45mm focal length, its generally used a portrait lens for the large aperture to get a more blurry background than 20mm, but definitely not a table portrait shot, 20mm would fare better in that aspect. The best is to try it at a shop yourself. There r some samples shots on the lens thread so that might give u an idea.

I'm using it on my E-PL1. It hunts at times and it isn't as snappy as the 12/2 but that might be due to the focal length.

I can't help but want to say this is an awesome lens!

I can't agree more! I've finally found the focal length that suits my street shoots. Plus the speed of this lens is blazing

Now I'm searching a matching UV filter for it. Silver ones are rare esp slim type.

You could get B W ones... They have silver type filter ..

I just called Cathay/Alan/Parisilk/MSC - price now $445-$450 cash.

No more $410/$420...=(
