So that cheaper screw driven AF lens could be used ! :bsmilie:

Your comments is akin to a person who drove Automatic cars their whole life asking why a manual transmission car needs a clutch.

Now, my question to you: Why the 60d instead of the 550d ? ...would be really lame if it's just for the swivelling LCD. :bsmilie:

Well, Sony can go the Nikon way, ie. only the higher end model offers the manual clutch with extra auto button, whereas the lower end models use only auto. Make sense to me also cos can cut more cost on the lower end model, more people adopt new auto lenses, & thus ultimately they can phase out those screwdriver lenses sooner. Better margin for Sony every way u look at it. :D

Believe it or not, the swivel LCD is 70% of my purchase decision!!! HAHAHAHA!!! The other 30% goes to lighter weight than 40D, 18MP, better IQ than 550D, cheap & the availability when i needed a new cam urgently.

Frankly, if not for the fact that i can't wait for the release of newer cams, the Pentax K5, Oly E5 & Sony A850 r the only contenders i had in mind. But as fate wud have it, the purchase turned out to be another Canon. So have it use it lor.

Dorkee, you really need to go out more often instead of trolling around these forums (go drink some Ice lemon tea perhaps) :bsmilie:

I think these Ice lemon Tea Jugs have got 'bad ergonomics' ...

While we are at bad ergonomics, any a850 user with a bit of nails? Do you feel that the grip is a little too shallow/slim such that when you curve your fingers, the grip doesn't fully fill up the arc of your hand? Erm...it is like a part of the camera weight is resting on your finger nails, rather than all on the fingers because the camera can't fill the whole arc form by the fingers...

So far I am very happy with the grip of the A700, A850 and A900. Like some bros have mentioned here, ergonomics is very subjective so what suits me may not suit you.
