Because of a mis-configuration on my part - apologies.
The standard size of the avatars has been 100x100 pixels since the beginning, but during the last software update, it advertently got reset to 100x200 pixels.
The setting has been changed back, and I urge members who have large (100x200) avatars to reset back to 100x100 (and Mods/Admins will be keeping an eye out for this)
I see, thanks for the update. Can I suggest to have the avatar increase to a slightly bigger dimension like 100x120 or 100x130 which would be good for those who like to have portraits for avatar?

Based on user feedback in the past, we find that 100x100 pixels are more than adequate for our forums (fits adequately within our templates).
If anyone has been using oversized avatars (eg more than 100x100 pixels), you will receive a message requesting you to resize the avatar as and when the Mods/Admins sees such avatars. So hopefully members can be proactive and resize them first.
I have just noticed that members are using pics of female and/or male models (presumably photographed by members themselves) as their avatar. I am wondering if this is proper?
Another thought. Even if the model/s has given a limited release for use in association with one's portfolio online or otherwise, it is questionable if the use as avatar is included.
Hello, I managed to crop avatar to 100 x 100 and lower resolution to get CS to accept it but appearance becomes very bad and not as sharp as what others have leh!
