Availability of D800E in Singapore

You guys are lucky , if you got your hands on an D800E . Trying to buy one for some time now , but no one has it. :-(

Why ah? Ain't these the RRPs?
Seems that it is easier to get better discounts off the RRP for the D800E than for the D800 from the dealers though.

It was a follow on from my previous post where I wrote that they quoted the RRP ($4988) plus 7% GST. Now we all know that $4988 is already inclusive of GST. I said to the salesman that you are kidding. Salesman said no. If don't want, then wait loh !!!

Confirmed the price for D800E at Edison is $4988 without GST.Got mine from them with a $100 discount off RRP from their GM Mr Lee.Go to shop in SLS instead of the one outside SLS,they quoted me much higher this RRP!!

Sorry guys wanted to correct my typo error,i am just too excited with my new camera...the correct price should be $4988 with GST.Paid $4900 in total after a "discount" of $100 from their GM...They still have 1 pcs each of a D800E and D800 when i left there around 5pm.

Got quoted 5999.- plus GST from some gangsters in SLS / ground floor. Seams like they want to make some extra bucks for the last units .

I just got the D800E from RITZ camera in Chinatown. Happened to walk in and ask for availability and they happened to have one available. Got it for $4575 but since I do not have enough cash, I had to pay by credit card which is 3% more. Eventually paid $4711 for it which is not too bad a price since no need on wait list and also below RRP. Look for Roy and he said one set coming in next week (not reserved yet).
