[AT] Travel the World with my D800E

It was Open House weekend in London when many inaccessible buildings were open to the public for free. It was also the weekend iphone 5S was launched, but people actually queued for some 3 hours (if not more) not to buy the phone, but to get into this building. Officially called 30 St Mary Axe but it's The Gherkin to most.

Pic 109 beautifully taken and process ,like it a lot, thanks for sharing

Sometimes this monument in Bangkok is gloriously lit up, but when I went there to photograph it, the lights didn't come on. I left and came back at 10 pm, but the wait was futile. This is the shot I took during the blue hour, with the monument lit only by ambient light from the streets around it.

The humble papaya. This is travel photography? Haha, well, these were not for us to eat, they were to feed the elephants so when everyone was jostling to photograph the mammals, I had all the time to shoot their food.

Like especially your #109 photo. May I ask from where did you take that photo from? Interesting to see 2 iconic building in 1 photo.

Hi SB - Sorry for the late reply as I've been busy. Took this photo from the top of Monument to the Great Fire of London, http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Monument_to_the_Great_Fire_of_London (Monument tube station). At the top of the column after you have climbed 311 steps is a narrow circular platform with a 360-degree view. But there is a wrap-around fence to prevent people from falling over, so you need a telephoto to shoot through the fence.

Thanks for the lead. Interior of london city hall looks cool too. Remember when it's concept drawings were shown to the public, some people nicknamed it 'heater fan'

And more KUL graffiti… this is by the side of Pasar Seni (Central Market) LRT station in Kuala Lumpur. Look closely and you'll also see Juice Singapore on the mural.
