Thanks! The best team in the world just got beaten by a group of supposedly youngsters whom in my opinion taught them some epl style football.

I think we can. Barca will try to push all players ahead and leaving more space than today for Theo Walcott and probably Arshavin/Nasir (who needs some game to sharpen up) to exploit. The pace of Walcott I think do and will make a difference. We pressed on and we get the result and I hope the same will be said at Nou Camp next week.
If we really get through to the next round, I think our title challenge will be greatly boosted.

Oh mine! You really did do us proud! Now there is really something to look forward to for the return leg!
So looking forward to the 2nd Leg at Nou Camp.
I pray really hard that history will not repeat itself like what happened against Valencia in the Champions League years ago when Arsenal are still playing at Highbury.
Also came from a goal behind to win 2-1 with a stunning Ray Parlour volley, but nevertheless the Gunners lost on away goal rulings when Valencia scored the only goal of the game in the 2nd Leg.
Back then we played too defensively and Thierry Henry could not capitalize on his chances.
But still it is a fabulous victory for gooners all over the world!
Lets hope they go to Spain to score!

Looking at other Arsenal Forums, seems like most agree that the standout players in that match were Wilshere, Koscienly and keeper Sczesny.
Quite a performance for Wilshere, more so considering that he is only 19 and was put among some of the best midfielders (Cesc, Xavi, iniesta...) that night.
So a compilation for those who need to while away time in the office on a Friday.

Van Persie: I only want to win at Arsenal
Robin van Persie says he will not consider leaving Arsenal as winning a trophy in another club's colours would not mean as much to him as succeeding at Emirates Stadium.
Van Persie, who spent a large portion of the first half of the season sidelined due to injury, has been linked with a possible transfer to Inter Milan on Sunday morning having scored 12 goals in ten games in 2011.
However, Van Persie is adamant that he only wants to win silverware with the club he joined in May 2004. The Gunners have the chance to do just that next weekend when facing Birmingham City in the Carling Cup final.
"I don't have the inclination to go anywhere," Van Persie told the club's official magazine. "This is the best team for me to be in. The bottom line is that I want to win trophies with Arsenal, not with anybody else. I know you can win trophies in many countries and in many ways, but I want to do that in our way and in an Arsenal shirt. :thumbsup::thumbsup:
"I'm sure I could win things at another team in another country, but would it feel like our trophy, my trophy? I'm not sure it would. Anything we win here will come from the heart and that's what I want. It's my dream and I see no point in speaking about other teams when I have these dreams. I think other people know that about me; I'm just hungry to win with Arsenal and that's it."
Van Persie's recent form has been the catalyst for Arsenal's continuing title challenge, and he scored the all-important equaliser in the 2-1 Champions League victory over Barcelona in midweek to spark a brilliant comeback from his side.
The Dutchman believes he has a point to prove after observing that some sections of the media had virtually written him off prior to a hat-trick against Wigan on January 22.
"I think some people had forgotten me a little bit," he said. "I could sense that when I scored my hat-trick against Wigan. I had the feeling that some people were surprised that I'd ever come back and do that for my club. Reading one or two articles was quite interesting, because apparently a few people didn't really think that I would come back as strong a player as I'd previously been.
"In my opinion that was never going to be the case, but that lack of pressure (of expectations) gave me the time to come back. When you don't play, people can forget you really quickly. There's always a new player, a new thing, football can change in one game. Now that I've come back with some goals, it's a new story for people and journalists might say 'He can make them champions' - but that's not the case, either."

I like this guy. he's control is crazy and got a good finishing. just try to stay fit as long as possible pls!

A very orgainzed Leyton Orient managed to pull a draw. The gunners look tired and the pitch IMO do hinder their style of play. I think the gunners should have the opportunity to knock them out when they come visit Emirates
How I wish Cesc will also dedicate his love for Arsenal the same way.

They tried to play through the middle, which made it easy for Leyton Orient to defend. Chamak and Bendtner are decent headers of the balls, but none of the players are good at crossing the ball.
I think the only plus point was we managed to see young Ignasi Miquel putting in a decent performance, he seemed comfortable at bringing up the ball from defense under pressure.

I think on the left probably they tried to push but on the right, B52 is not as fast thus slowing things down and one thing, Chamak always seems to be far away from their defense line or sometimes close to the midfield rather than being a out and out striker. I think it's has something to do with our formation. Anyway, having said that I think most of the crosses were pretty decent but I noticed not many crosses were met by our players inside their penalty box even though we do have at least two players with aerial threat.

Our fixture is so conjested now. this is pretty worrying.... esp since we have a habit of getting our players injured in games...

At the risk of sounding complacent, I think we can use the same players as those that played at Leyton Orient originally. I'll take it as an added bonus for this back up team to get matches and stay sharp. If they take their chances, we should be fine.
