Arsenal Football Club - The Gunner's Thread 2

another good sign, Arsenal - wigan : 3-0 with arsenal team full of youngster.

Hope Wenger don't do another "funny" first-11 for the next games.

haha..really entertaining and well worth waking up for.

vela was certainly the lively esp in the 2nd half. simpson seems to know how to be in the right place at the right time. wilshere knows how to shield the ball rather well. gibbs can be another clichy and merida looks like a fabregas in the making.

fabianski needs more exposure. he's still a bit uncertain and almost gifted wigan a goal early in the game. ramsey was a bit off with quite a few of his passes going astray. but overall still a very good team performance.

My father described Jay Simpson as the Walcott who can shoot.

A great win for the youngsters no doubt.

I feel the next 3 games will be crucial ... to prove whether the team can mount a serious challenge on the BPL as well as the ECL. It'll be played over the span of 11 days and against fancied sides such as Aston Villa (at home), Man City (away) and Dynamo Kiev.

Especially in the BPL, I guess all of us are beginning to see teams stuck in mutually exclusive bands, i.e. Chelsea and Liverpool leading the pack with at least 6 points, followed by Arsenal and Man U in Band 2, Aston Villa, Everton and surprisingly Hull and the rest, well at this point in time, there's not much to differentiate them.

We got to keep up; play consistently well and win regularly. If not, it'll turn into a two-horse race with Arsenal having to fight for the third or fourth ECL spot again ...

Maybe AW should play the boys in BPL and the oldies in League Cup.

After watching the whole game in the repeat telecast, I must say the Jack Wilshere is some player to look out for.

Brusing encounter with Villa. First booked - Arsenal. First bloodied victim from Villa. I think someone will be sent off soon if the robust challenges going on.

villa deserved the win. they were the ones making all the effort. i don't know if beating man u made us think we already won the game or what. too many stray passes and lost possession.

We can't create even a single chance. Really frustrating.

The seniors should be ashamed of themselves. Lack of urgency, lack of consistency, the youngsters are doing better than them.

Can we have the entire first 4 defenders benched and let the ones earn some experience, since the season's like almost gone. No wonder the home crowd singing isnt as loud as in the previous league match.

Seriously disappointing. :thumbsd:

at this rate i see no harm letting our carling team have a go.

French manager wants to use Gunners back four for his international matches. I think he need to rethink.

Arsenal lose when playing against "British Bulldogs" team - those that hurried them and run and run - just see how we lost the last 4 matches.

Seriously, AW need to buy English. Or play more English.

I can only think of one word when I saw the result, "Newcastle".

Just like Newcastle last time can beat Manu 5-1, then the next match loose to Lesiter(??) City...

Well supporting Arsenal is never easy... for the heart you know? ;)

Its over! Our season is over!

It would be a good time to play the youngsters, let them have the experience. Season is gone. Let's see some players with ACTUAL commitment, fire and passion and willing to die for the club on the field.

The scene of watching no.18 jogging and watching the 2nd goal unfold...is disgusting. He should at least try to stop the striker, than just watch to see if Gallas could stop the striker himself. :thumbsd:

no more wasting my time at home during sat nights just to watch the team lose...super crappy performance :thumbsd:
the stadium fans should have boo louder...too bad many of them left before the game ended...they too must have felt that there's hardly any hope of at least a draw.
