Arsenal Football Club - The Gunner's Thread 2

i'm so relieved. for a while it looked like pompey might just nick a goal and win it.

Thats the problem this season, we have been conceding so many late goals, my heart always go overdrive when we are defending one goal leads in stoppage times.

Hope we can get something going in 2009 matches.

Happy new year to all gooners!

looks like AW won't be buying a dmc during jan as he turn down interest in Inler...:bheart: there goes some defensive cover already...sian.

What happened to all the gooners here? so quiet.

Again, a 1-0 scoreline, but its super important as Villa had won earlier.

Adebayor is largely ineffective again, bendter seems like he plays better when he comes off the bench. Hope Eduardo comes back soon so we have more options upfront.

Yeah ... it's an important win for us, especially with Villa winning and Liverpool held to a draw.

AW really needs to bring some experience and quality into the team ... boys have to be taught to fight like men and for that to happen, they'll need real men to teach them ...

as a stop gap measure, arsene may likely play nasri in the middle until fab returns.
he has the potential to supply decent through balls.
and he packs quite an amount of strength in his shots, the 2 against man u are proof of his strength.

We'll be playing Hull City in a few hours time ... Hull City are on a poor run and this is probably and hopefully the best time to face them again. We really got to win, not just for championship points but for our pride when we lost to them earlier in the season at home ...

If we can beat them @ home, it'll be a really sweet win ...

Go Gunners!

Yay! We beat Hull City 3-1! :cheergal:

All I hope now is that we'll be consistent in our performance ...

yes revenge is sweet...pay back time for that embarrassment at home ground earlier in the season...

I was holding my breath for Man Utd and Chelsea to slip up, would have been a perfect weekend of results.

crap...i think wenger is willing to forego the FA cup. damn boring game.

I think the team put out was more or less a full strength team, somehow we can't create much chances.

well i thought he should have started with adebayor and RVP upfront, with denilson and diaby in midfield. bendtner seems better when he comes on as a sub.

the regulars cant perform as their reserves/younsters did. Strange.

True. I thought Bendtner plays better when he comes on as a sub. Was hoping to see vela instead.

Denilson is not effective in midfield, I think Nasri might be short term replacement for Fab, thought AW somehow prefers him on the wing.

Just when I thought we're going to lose the game, RVP kept our hopes alive by scoring in the 90th minute to snatch a draw @ Goodison!

Phew ...

honestly i don' think we deserved the draw. really playing like crap today, the midfield can't even hold the ball well or string decent passes till very late in the game. we really got away with this one.

Finally we've signed Arshavin. Let's hope he can help to turn our season around!
