ha! tas quite insane!

let's wait for an answer and hopefully he won't be penalised that badly.

I believe no one in his right mind would do that. And I hope that he dun have intent to use that SAR21, not sure if he got pull it out during the chase or not. But how did he know how to run away from police.

I believe he is under extreme pressure. Hopefully some doc can proof tha the is insane at the time he commit the offence so that his sentence will be lighter.. else dunno what will happen to him. only 20 years old. Another Sad case.

Wah lau.. what was he thinking? I think the reason must be a girl? :dunno:

But I think he would be made an example of, coz he didn't bring a rifle with live rounds to ulu place, he brought it to town and near istana!!

7 years DB?

wa piang onli 1 mth to ORD...

Either stressed or went out to hao lian that he can get rifle out...

In either case face both Military and Civil action, if i recall it is 7 years for possesion of dangerous weapons. 7+7=14 years...

lucky he did not discharge weapon...otherwise sure :hung:

I believe that he was traced using his handphone which transmit his location.

Should be 7 years, IIRC coz once u charged by military court, civil court cannot charge you? (prevent double jeopardy)??

In serious-enough cases the SAF will discharge the offender dishonourably and then hand him over to the civilian authorities.

Can be different charges.

Military charges you for AWOL and failure to comply with orders.

Civil court will charge you with possession of arms.

In my opinion, he'll be charged by one court only. (either military or civil. not both) Just like the shooting incident many years ago at the Selarang Camp where the bobo-shooter soldier, doing guard sentry, fired upon command but he hit and kill the taxi driver instead. It became a civil matter solely.

And you called that bobo-shooting?

OT. I can imagine the NSF now in DB kena "questioned" by SIB....

Update:

Corporal Dave Teo Ming was arrested after policemen tracked him down to the third floor of Orchard Cineleisure.

Ms Aisah Abdullah, a 46-year-old cashier at World of Sports on the second floor of Cineleisure said: 'At about 8pm, I saw men running up the escalator to the third floor. Soon more police arrived and they cordoned the whole floor for about an hour.'

Other witnesses said they saw a brief struggle outside the Nike Store. Police officers kept the commotion to minimum - even security guards at the shopping complex were kept unaware of the situation.

Corporal Teo still had the rifle on him when the police arrested him. It is believed to be a Singapore-made SAR-21 rifle, which is about 80cm long - or about the length of an umbrella.

Police would not say how he managed to conceal the weapon, but no gun shots were heard, said shoppers at Cineleisure.

I really hope he didn't do that just to impress the girls...

Especially since it was the Army Open House over the weekend, and the girls actually got to shoot the SAR21...

no he did that to impress the guys. nobody knew he signed 320? :bsmilie:

all fictional, no responsibility will be taken

I think the question to ask is, why would he do it when he should know that its wrong to bring weapon or even live rounds out of camp...:nono:

It would be interesting to hear what his explaination is.

This is a serious case, imagine if the live rounds are in the rifle and if it misfire in a crowded cinema or shopping centre. Stupid dumb thing to do.:thumbsd:

This rumour came out first in Hardwarezone EDMW at around 0700-0800, it was suppressed at around lunch time.

Right now, even before the dust settles, the EDMW CSI has found out that it's a boy girl problem and his girlfriend has become a lesbian.

wah ... no wonder la ... Quite sad leh ... but to the extreme bring gun out from camp ...
Abit too fierce ...

maybe he watned to play counterstrike with real guns
