One of my 2 A700s will let go likely next year, when the rumoured A800 or A1000 is released. ;p

Right now, I'm itching to get the A350 as it is gradually but surely becoming obsolete.
I find it has quite a bit of the old charm of A100, but much more advanced of course, and I don't have a low end Alpha in my cabinet.

What you guys think? Good to keep one before it goes extinct? :think:

why not the A200? its the one that's 'there' just before liveview

don't like dat lah, I just happen to keep an annual budget for photography stuff through my business funds lah.. I'm just crazy over cameras! ;p

These two cameras from SONY; A700 and A900, I will keep permanently. They are the turning point in SONY's redesign and re-engineering of Minolta's old Dynax film & digital SLRs.
I believe that over the next two years, SONY will in all probability, give their Alphas a facelift - hopefully for the better and not to turn people off. Especially me...

Well the A200 is too close to the A100 in terms of features. And I am not attracted to the 350 because of LV, its the 14Mp sensor I'm quite amused by. ;p
350 also sits a little smallish in my hands, but it would sit very well in my wife's hands... makes her happy and hopefully, closes one of her eyes on the activities in my accounts... hehe..

Wow OldFlower , you are a Camera collector. Care to share what other systems and amory of lens you have at the moment ? More importantly, let us know if you have plans to sell off any of your collections =D

I have looked at the same Oly E420; guess what? The Made in China label turned me off instantly. WHy would I wanna give my wife, a cam with Malamine in it? :bsmilie:

So far, I've only collected 3 Minolta film SLR bodies, 1 Minolta DiMage 7 prosumer with 5Mp, 1 deadbeat puny 3Mp Oly PNS, and about 16 lenses comprising mostly SIGMA, and a couple Minoltas. Now upgrading some of my SIGMA aps-c type lenses to Sony's Carl Zeiss range, and the G series lenses to cater to my A900s. I think over time, I would cycle them into mostly SONY lenses, and 50% SIGMA ones.
Hmm and yah, about time to get a larger cabinet. Currently my stuff are in 4 different cabinets. :bsmilie:
Oh and I even have 2 extinct Polaroid cams! Cute stuff.

just go hoot from sony shop now ah, the current sony promo lasts throughout sitex. so doubt the promo will be diff than the one thats currently on now.

i bought from parkway sony shop and they gave 8gb card instead of 4gb, uv filter, tripod, extra original batt, bag, cheapo cleaning kit... if for $888 think is real cheap already :angel:

Hmm 16 lens =S and so many cameras. I figured you have been collecting them for some time i guess haha.
