sweet!
I can't seem to quit the Zeiss club, LOL.

After Kenneth made my nose bleed a few days ago, I thought it is a nice gesture to return the favour. Closer to home - M'sian cina. :)

Contax N85 @f1.4 on 6D.

Your N85 f1.4 made me mouth bleed geezus ;p

I am surprised to hear the focusing throw is longer than the MP100/2. I hated the focusing throw of the MP100/2 but then I don't do macro. I have expected the 135 APO focusing throw to be much shorter since it is only 1:4 magnification. I am more interested to see comparisons between the MP100 and 135APO than against 135L. Maybe you can help the community with that :)

The throw is generous on the 135mm compared to the 100mm if I recall
Sadly I have departed from the 100mm and 50mm MPs...

The 135mm focal length is special to me as it was my first L lens (C 135mm F/2 L) however that was ages ago and during the era of the Canon 20D
I have sinced moved on and now running the zeiss on a Nikon D800
From my very faint recollection, I will go with the Canon 135mm if I do not have much room / opportunity to retake my shots.

Had a chance to take the 135mm to Botanical Gardens this morning to test it out.
Its still a pain to use like the 100mm F2 - hahahaha...

Here are 2 pictures to share

probably its just me, but my keep rates aren't very good with Manual lenses...

Feeling the impact from 100 > 135mm focal length move....
The depth of field was indeed getting thinner and thinner while trying to balance between acceptable ISO / Shutter Speed and the Wind...

Results look good! But the price point is a bit too high for me, especially since it's a 'want to have' and not a 'need to have' lens.

Did you mean only the lens, not model, caused a reaction? How about this then. :)

Same lens.

Nice damsel but you should have noticed that the theme for the week is a different kind of damsel. :)

lol...For these photo shoots organized in CS, typically how many photographers to are shoot at the same time?
Did you manage to get any closer than that?
What aperture were you using for these shots?

Models have already bled dried me nose long ago. Now it's the N85 f1.4 geezus

Zeiss announces the new E-mount lenses and names them “Touit”.

"If you are wondering where the heck Zeiss found that name her eis the original Zeiss explanation: “We decided to derive the future names of the lenses from the Latin names of birds. That fits well, as birds usually have excellent eyesight and can take unusual perspectives. Birds are also diverse and lively animals. Furthermore, the Latin names all have an attractive sound and are common in many languages and cultures.”

Touit ! Zeiss probably didn't consider how the Cantonese will pronounce it. :)

Haha...just for fun lah. Group of 6 is the norm. If want more interaction with the model, can always do private shoot. Just have to pay more.

Most are shot on f1.4 and f2 as I rely on natural lightings and want a diffused background.

ok last post in case the folks here think I am turning the Zeiss thread into Portraits and Poses.

Think need to get Shiroro to sponsor a Zeiss photoshoot :)

Afterall, we are sort of generating interests and demand for Zeiss lenses.

A brilliant idea! A session where Zeiss users gather and Shiriro could showcase their Zeiss products too!
