There is a theory still adhered to by many, that M series lenses are always superior in digital cameras no matter what, because their rear elements are nearer to the sensor/film plane. From the German's garbled explanation, it seems that this is exactly the root of the problem for UWA RF lenses in digital cameras.

Flektogen 35/2.4 on Kodak SLR/c. An old lens but with a push on saturation can still give good colours.

More Flektogen 35/2.4 . I am hoping this lens will be good enough on A7 that I do not have to buy the ZA 35/2.8.

Please visit our bird park (鸟地方). NTUC Plus members can get 30% discount. So ended up paying $14 for entrance fee without tram ride. It is quite refreshing as I have never been to the bird park ever in my life. The only downside is plenty of mozzies. So wear protective clothing and rub yourself in plenty of insect repellent.

The L in EPL2 stands for Lousy

supposed to tell you that it is a lousier model compared to the regular EP models

EPL vs EP-x is still much better than Ricohflex vs Rolleiflex :bsmilie:

I like the fact that the epl2 only cost me $120.. lousy or not.. it works.
Anyway the m43 has a smaller sensor than many other cameras thus producing a greater dof.. thus looking at the pics.. one might want to consider that point. Some people find that the greater dof might help in the focussing while others may find it a hindrance. What do you guys think?

The discussion on sensor size and DoF will go on till the cows come home. Let's just stick to making wonderful photos with Zeiss lenses here in this thread, regardless of bodies used.

Second that :) Carl Zeiss Planar F2 100mm

Hi all, anyone know where can I send an old contax camera for refurbishment? Basically would like to have a new layer of leather as the original rubberish body is not looking too good.

Thanks

There are some shops in both Peninsula and The Adelphi. I believed they can help you though I have not used them before.

There are also some individuals who may be able to help. I need to dig out their contacts. Might have lost them when I lost my phone last year.

Give this Zeiss thread a good start to 2014. Happy New Year!
