But i really think that CANON lens and camera(5D CLassic) have some shockproof or drop proof?
I have 2 interesting true story to tell...
I once held a EF 70-200mm F4L IS USM and i DROPPED it from "Tze Cha" Table height. I'm 1.85m and its about hip length. It dropped because the waiter pushed the dish towards the lens and it dropped. -.-" I stunted and quickly picked it up to find cracks/spoilt in the lens so i can ask him to pay for it before he went off.

The funny thing is that, Its still working like charm... I tried out the AF/MF IS On/Off, All perfectly fine ABIT scratch at the hood and zoom ring...
There was another time, i once held a EF 600mm f/4.0 L IS USM. After the airshow, taxi back to choa chu kang (Thats where i live) with my uncle to have lunch at 429 Coffee shop. Wonder if you guys went there to eat before...

The 600mm was still mount on the camera. As Singapore weather is HOT, I open up the bag to let it have some cooling air, rather then stuck inside the bag and let it grow fungus... i open the bag with the hood reversed, face down. The next moment, a boy aprox. 3+, knocked on the standing lens... It falls ofcourse..
Because the lens cap is a 'pouch', nothing was scratches. My uncle picked it up this time and test it out. IS on/off working fine, AF/MF working fine too. LOL
The 70-200 and 600 does not belong to me, but my uncle...
But i personally think that lens are not that easy to crack...
