As all good photographer would, ran downstairs with my digicam and took meaningless shots of people wandering around ;p

lol ... my whole family got very bad headaches and decided to go downstairs also, it was quite ... fun :sweat: meeting people staying in the same block for the first time. we were chatting away :bsmilie:
 

did not feel anything here from C'wealth.
No report from Indon yet though. :dunno:

From the link Ian gave, It's magnitude 8.2 northern sumatera Indonesia, OMG....crossing fingers really now.
 

Looks like Clementi is the most peaceful place? I don't feel any vibration everytime someone reports such activity.
 

It located northen part of sumatra and sumatra is located southwest part of Singapore Island

hmmm ... Indian Ocean tsunami warning system not up yet ... the location of the earthquake seems to be quite close to the one that caused tidal waves last year :(
 

When was it... I was at Toa Payoh some time earlier and I don't feel it...

Thats only for pacific. Doesnt mention anything about indian ocean.

I think it depends: I was told my area is built on marine clay so more prone to feeling the impact of distant earthquakes.

A report from a US site
"Major earthquake strikes off Indonesia, tsunami warning issued: A large earthquake was recorded early Tuesday in the Andaman Sea off of Indonesia's Sumatra Island, and the U.S. Geological Survey said the magnitude was 8.2."
 

then me staying at 1st flr felt nothing!

Felt a bit shaky just now, this earthquake tremor is probably strong enough to be felt in every parts of Singapore. First time experiencing such a phenomenon.
