Any Woodlands Photographer???

Bro must really learn from you man. I can achieve a good pano with a P&S S30 using the photostitch from canon but with the DSLR I juz could not achieve it.

I tried using total manual mode where I selected my own aperture and shutter speed. I set it up for f/22 (juz for kicks ;p) and still had the uneven lines.

Next outing you coming or not? Can teach us, Si Fu?

AE lock should be fine. another probability may be due to the uneven exposure caused by vignetting. perhaps stopping down the aperture should solve the problem?

But before that, all photos must be taken with AE lock, rite? I need to cfm on this AE Lock... Coz, I tried using AE lock, then I used PS fotomerge... I haf the same prob as Kelvin... There is a line of deeper colours where the photos overlap... Then YC mention that haf to remove it using PS again...

Is it realli necessary if we taken pics using AE Lock?

AE Lock and SPEED. Especially at setting or rising sun. The brightness differes very fast.

After reading Buggy's and Andy's post, I juz realised why I got the line. It coz I was using the wide angle of the Zoom lense so kenna vignetting. Also, I was try to capture too much per image and so not enough "overlap". Canon Powershot recommends between 30%-50% overlap *sigh*. Think for the next shoot must try again.

some of the bad pano stitching might be due to auto white balance as well. instead of stitching landscape photos, some may recommend stitching portrait photos to form the pano shot.

sometimes hard to gauge.. but like kelvin mentioned if it covers at least 30% it should be fine and avoid using wide angle.

What I need to learn from you guys is more on the composition and lighting. I was never very good at that :sweat:. Most of my shots are more snap & go type.

I usually take candid shots at family events so not much of composition involved, juz super close-upz :sweatsm:.

Yes, Mine is Stitched using Potrait configuration.
Forgot actual number, the water pano is a stitched with 21 - 24 Shots.
Almost crashed my Computer. The final output file think is areound 100 - 200MB.
