I understand that 20 units of M9 are in Singapore now. Apparently there is a waiting list.

I checked with cathay and they said for every 10 sets coming in they've got 20 orders coming in. So...

Worldwide shortage. Just played with one in the Leica Gallery in Taipei. Was really great to have a hands-on without pressure of buying (since there is no stock)...;p

From my reliable source, every shipment of m9 is only limited to 4 units, one to be given to each of the 4 major leica dealers in town. So far there have been 5 shipments. I suppose you have to have good relationship with one of them to secure a good place on the waiting list.

From my reliable source, every shipment of m9 is only limited to 4 units, one to be given to each of the 4 major leica dealers in town. So far there have been 5 shipments. I suppose you have to have good relationship with one of them to secure a good place on the waiting list.

they should now adopt what the luxury watch industry are doing, take in names and decide who they will sell the m9 to based on status, andvwealth and still reserve the right to deliver the merchanise up to 2-3 year's time hahahahahah, such crap

Very doubtful, heard about this one and was told price includes GST, but the shop does not even sell M8, let alone many lenses. Only an M7 or 2 sitting there for the longest time. Catering more to the D300s and Canon 7D crowd. Most shops will sell to the other shops first at a higher price considering that the others have a waiting list.
