Was offered one sub-9k this morning but did not bite. Still happy with my M8.:bsmilie:
may i know which shop is offering m9 at this price? maybe it is time to get a second m9...
There are only 4 official Leica dealers. It is the one that opens on Sunday in Orchard Road. if this is true, let me know. I got the Summilux ASPH 50 from them, and that was the only high end piece that they had 2 years ago.
Have E43 (chrome) and the E55 (silver/black). :bsmilie:
Have hoods for the Nikkor also, both chrome (with leather case), early and late black versions for sale too. All are extras.

and how how m8 price plumated now hahaha. The last time I waited on the M8, it kept going up.
it's a money world out there, if not now, when will they have a chance to reap the early adoptors off?!I'm always thinking. Think and thinking only... cos no money to buy.....
ONe customer walked into a shop and offered to place deposit for M9 to Salesman A.
Salesman A then rushed to Salesman B to check if he can give up the cam reserved by B's customer. B told A off, probably due to commission issues.
Out of curiosity, I asked B if M9 is in an available for sales. B quickly denied and said that there's a long waiting list.

agreed, if you need it now, buy it.As hacker mentioned earlier, it is unlikely that any dealer would want to sell at such a price if there is still strong pent up demand. Coincidentally, i am pretty familiar with Maxphoto, having gotten my m9 from them way back in mid October (one of the first 4 units that came to Singapore). No doubt, i paid close to list price but willingly. At the end of the day, one has to decide whether to wait or not. The price will definitely fall but nobody knows how long one has to wait. If there is no urgency, I suppose one can wait and get a better price. The only question is how long one has to wait.
Tested both with and without. I cannot get around the AWB. Like the M8 of old. Color is awful under fluorescent. I'm sure an update would fix it soon.

But to some, the line may be blurred.
too many camps of differing views in the world la, if one thinks the amount is worth the purchase, I'm happy for them! in the end, don't buy something today and regret tomorrow over price! It's totally legal.
Business ethics ? Err..... I am not so sure.
There are hoarders of salt, sugar and you name in. You may argue that those are essentials and not luxury items like an M9. But to some, the line may be blurred.
I will stay away from the M9 opportunistic sellers for now.
