Well, other than Japan, it's not available anywhere around the world yet. I'm gussing it'd be here sometime next month. But I guess by then the excitement will be long gone.

If only we'd have a preproduction review set so we can get more excited about the new product as we used to do w/ Emjay.

I think APDS should announce the RRP now, for all the new stuff, getting too much negative feelings in many of us without any price or RRP announcement even at this late stage.

hi just checking with the pros here , just got a quote from sgcamerastore , as helping a friend to buy k30 only body $1015 - ( there $100 rebate ) so all in all it only $915 with free cleaning kit , is it cheap ?

i dont think its fair to compare retail prices with online prices. afterall the webstore is not working anymore. so even if they offer it at 800 or less, no chance you could buy it. its void. the retail prices for Pentax Q now is 699 (not street price), down from previous prices of nearly 800. i'd give them credit for that

$915 should be the market price right now, so the $100 rebate is just to offset the MSRP price to market price.

It's still valid 'cause that was the market price back then (you can buy the camera at around the same price from SLRR and OP then), although it's a bit higher than the launch price.

Price drop on Pentax Q is because Pentax Japan already lowered price for it globalwise. You can buy the Q w/ one lens for less than $400SGD now from other countries:
