I think that's if you use VPost.. I paid the UPS guy at my doorstep when he delivered the package to me.

For vpost tax, you don't need to goto the central post office. You can pay it together w/ the shipping cost before they send the package over to you from the US. If by UPS or FEDEX, you can pay the tax at your door when the package is delivered to you.

why need the grip ?? i kinda find the grip abit useless.. i sold mine liao... unless u got big hands.. else not much use... can oni put remote control and 1 spare SD card...

if use for shooting portraits... well i shoot so many portraits... i find without 1 is better...hehe

My sentiments exactly. The Pentax D-BG2 Battery Grip does very little functionally, aside for space for an additional battery, remote and SD card. It does make it a little easier to shoot vertically but it doesn't up the camera's fps but just adds a little more weight and bulk.
Train to shoot vertical shots and save that money. For the record I bought one from M S Colour after OP quoted me $250 for it. :bigeyes:

yah.. with the BG-2 there's no real NEED for it.. just helps a bit with handling and size.
