an AF vario-sonnar T* 16-80mm, if this optically quality is anywhere near the classic CZ... this will be the mother of all kit lens!

Oh yeah, the 135mm 1.8 T* is amazing too :bsmilie:
you got 135mm STF still want this f/1.8 Zeiss

hopefully it is not going to cost like 1000euro

That SAL 16-80 mm F3.5-4.5 is US$699!

Wow.....its like a soaring share price rushing up from the current $900 list price.
Its time to get those KM compatible lens now....which is already hard to find....:bsmilie: :bsmilie:

few more good things :D
The A100 is ready to start shooting less than one second after you flip the power switch.

Autofocus speeds were excellent, as you'd expect. Typically the camera took 0.1 - 0.2 seconds to lock focus, and only a bit longer in more difficult situations. If the camera had to use the flash as an AF-assist lamp it almost always locked focus -- and quickly.

Shutter lag was not a problem, even at slower shutter speeds, just as you'd expect from a D-SLR.

Shot-to-shot delays were practically nonexistent. You can shoot as fast as you can compose -- or at least until you hit the buffer limit.

You can delete a photo right after it is taken by pressing the delete photo button.

The camera moves between photos very quickly, moving from one image to the next instantly.

how come somany already....
it is just 666....

really tempted... drooling...
what to do... hmmm...

Haha.....

Looks like forward going form here.....we'll all probabaly converted to own a Sony body or another .....some incompatibility would force us to fully convert. Starting with batteries...:bsmilie: :bsmilie: :bsmilie:

i still got F828, using FM-50, dunno can anot...

anyway, No EP-2 replacement yet hor... and the Sony Ring Flash is for those Sony prosumer camera, wonder if it works well with Minolta flash anot...

Interesting news...

CZ 135 f1.8 T is certainly interesting... CZ 16-80 is another interesting bit.

As for the camera alone, i am not that excited... Will stay with 7D until its replacement is release... then again, it depends on the price!!

From DPreview:
"Sony is continuing its long-standing relationship with Carl Zeiss® to deliver superior optical performance for the α (Alpha) camera system. The two companies have co-developed three lenses, including an ultra-wide, 16-80 mm Vario-Sonnar T* zoom model and two fixed focal length telephoto models ─ a Planar T* 85 mm and Sonnar T* 135 mm."

Seems like my dream will come through to own a CZ 85mm Planar lens.. I am happy now...

Now just sit tight for the next announcement for Alpha 200 (Albeit, 7D replacement)... Ah.. we might have D2Xs version soon... 6 months time? 1 January 07.

Hart

The legend continues..... Hope I can find a zoom that can focus faster and reliably with 7D.
