[ All Rumors ] - Rumors for ALL MFT products (cameras, lenses and accessories)

Looks good and interesting :) way way better than the mock-up photo I posted. especially when it's rumored to be using the GX7 sensor from the URL and probably considerably cheaper with a new kit lens. Just wondering where will this camera stand among the GF, GH and GX series

Wondering if the GF will still continue..

Nice but the lens is not small enough that the whole package can be put into a jeans pocket.. I'm really leaning towards a lf1 or Rx100 or s120/110 for concerts and similar when ILCs won't be allowed.. The GM1 doesn't fit my criteria..

Ha tomorrow will have more lens surprise lalalala :p

Saw the leaks on 43rumors :). Can't be the lens is retractable! But really leaning towards LF1

looking at the size comparisons, i think it is quite pocketable. smaller than the RX100. just pair it with the correct lens, like the 14 2.5 pancake

hmm, a little fuji-ish looking, looks good, got new type of shutter. pocketability for this with 14 depends type type of pocket haha. Ricoh GR is pocketable

Yep the image is not 100% truthful.. We need to see side views and top down views. Then you can see how much the lens adds to the size. The RX has a retractable lens. Lets not forget that. So it is jeans pocketable. Not so the GM1.

Tell me.. even with the new 12-32 Pancake zoom.. which can fit into your jeans?

Top view with the new lens. Interesting 3rd dial

possibly.. but its still not pocketable.. What i think is that the GM1, will take over the GF..

think u r right, Pana probably will go for a GX, GH and GM line in future, similar to Oly having the EM, EP , EPL and EPM series. But i'm really glad the GM1 comes with a mode dial (assuming the photos are true)

But u can't possible buy everything right ? Unless u wan to see me drowning in my own jealousy haha.

The 12-40/2.8 and probably GM1 for now haha. EM-1 can wait a bit. A7's probably be out of my reach ; starting a new system from scratch.

looking at the size... how the hack do u hold it? so small...no grip as well..
e-pm2 is not much bigger.... no?

but the FULL electronic shutter development looks very interesting..

Honestly I wouldn't be using this with a 12-40/2.8 if I get it :) think that's the reason Panny released a pancake zoom for it too going from 12-32mm. The 14/2.5 or 20/1.7 would be a good match for it if original aims was to replicate a EPM series under Panny's stables

Any idea whats the f-stop for the kit lens?

its all still at rumor stage, should be all clear in a few more hours :)

so far i've read f3.5 to f5.6 or f6.x

a photo for a comparison of sizes vs the GX7 and GX1

hold it the same way people hold the RX100, LX1-7, and other equivalent compact cameras. It is so small that i probably will use it with a simple wrist strap from a compact camera.

I was considering getting a Rx100 or LX7 as a compact after selling away my OMD and m4/3 lenses. Now this GM1 is tempting me to just get back into m4/3 and pair with a pancake + or just the kit zoom lens/power zoom lens. The larger sensor should mean better ISO performance and IQ vs the RX100/LX7 at a similar camera body size

The front design looks like the Fuji XM1 or the XF1...
