why you wun even get this lens.. does it have flaws that u din like it .
for me.. I have the AFS 80 - 200mm F2.8 couple with my D2H.
This is the prehap the heaviest setup that i ever had..althought I still complain..

and i'm not a pro.i only shoot for fun.
i dont mind some loss in picture quality if it gives me convenience of lesser weight.
extra reach use TC lor.

100%crop means any area with details and in cs2, set 'view actual pixels' right?

i just gotten a D70s with kit len 1 month back and planning to get some other lens this week end. not sure what to get actually.

Hi Jeanie, I thought you are looking for Nikon 200-400mm or 500mm. You just bought this Lens for travel? For me I will still bring the 70-200VR out if I have one. What travel bag you use? BTW when I got quote from Lords on 500mm/4 they told me Nikon will be releasing 600mmVR soon. For now I am considering between 70-200+200-400 or 500.
